The hotel's location is ideal - it's close to shuttles, taxis, the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and restaurants. The historic building and rooms with a kitchen are a plus. The breakfast offers a wide array of goodies.

Location, location, location! I absolutely loved that when we got to New Orleans we were able to park and leave the car all weekend. We were able to walk to Bourbon St and the French Quarter with no problem. The staff was very friendly and I will stay there again when I go back.

Location was perfect, 2 room suite was roomy, cost was very fair, large enough to entertain in, exposed brick gives true feel of new orleans, staff ws helpful, location- location
Took 2 days before maid came in, had some 'critters' we didnt invite, outdated decor

Hotel De L'Eau Vive in New Orleans is my top pick when visiting the city. The breakfast offers a fantastic selection of delicious food. The service is top-notch, and the rooms have been recently renovated, complete with a kitchen. The location is unbeatable, just a short 4-6 minute walk from Canal Place Shopping Mall and close to many attractions such as the arts district, museums, French Quarter, Bourbon Street.

The hotel's location is very convenient as it is close to everything. The rooms are also very spacious and nice. The hotel is close to the casino, making it convenient for those who enjoy gambling. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service to the guests.
The hotel lacks a vent in one of the bedrooms, which can make the room feel stuffy.

Location; friendliness of staff; Price;
Outdated. No secure location to keep luggage while waiting for late check- in. Check-in time of 4:00 is too late in some instances. The carpet is dirty. The fixtures in the rooms break in the tub. The toilet hung up; light bulb out; jets in bath didn't work; In serious need of updating and maintenance.

The hotel staff was friendly, they put us in a suite with out any extra cost. It was very close to the French Quarters and next to the casino so parking was not a problem. The room was nice and comfortable even though it is an older hotel. I would stay at this hotel again and/or recommend to others.
I just had to get used to the fact that it is an older hotel but if you can get past that it is fine.

Firstly, the location of this hotel is excellent. It is within walking distance of the lively French Quarter and the convenient streetcar line. This makes it a perfect base for exploring the city and experiencing the local culture.
All was satisfactory and we had a pleasant stay.

I had the pleasure of staying in Room 101A, a spacious three-bedroom suite, twice in the past year. The lobby of the hotel was beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. The staff, especially Amy, were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room itself was spotlessly clean and had a fresh scent. The fully equipped kitchen allowed for convenient meal preparation, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The furniture in the suite was also well-maintained. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located close to various attractions and amenities, including a nearby casino.
Can't fault the property in any way.

We had a really good time at the hotel. If you are into cookie cutter Marriott type hotels, this is not for you. It's eclectic and fun. The achitecture of the older portion was nice. The staff was really friendly (except one, but what are you gonna do). I especially loved the location. Just outside of the French Quarter, and across from casino and trolleys. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment with a kitchen and living room. We slept eight comfortably. Great location near the quarter.
No complaints, but beware it is dated. The outside looks old and plain but we enjoyed it and had no problems.

I really liked having a room with a kitchen. Actually, everything about this place was awesome. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time. 😊

This was a really good stay for a week's vacation. Hotel's staff was excellent and efficient all the time. The location was incredibly comfortable and ideal, around 4-6 minutes walk from an immense aquarium. The venue itself was in a pretty comfortable area, near to all the trams stop as well as shuttles.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
